I’ve been running my ACKS: Conan campaign with this house rule. I had a different justification though; because Wisdom represents the characters willpower, senses and common sense, it was logical to have it affect the saves. A wiser character takes more precautions and responds to dangers more sensibly. So far the house-rule has worked well and kept players from using Wis as a dump stat.
