Thanks man! I really appreciate that!

Tentacle Horror and the Death of a Companion
They find the tomb of a dead god, and learn the pain of area attack spells…
It's good to see that your players also subscribe to the "awaken dead gods and get party wiped" philosophy of dungeon exploration.
Yeah, Alex, they do indeed subscribe to that philosophy. However, sometimes it works out in the end…
The Dwarf speaks, and Dead Gods Awake…
A new wonder is discovered in this otherwise dying world, as well as the scope of the tragedy that has gone before.
The party gains some much needed respite…and is offered a dangerous quest to slay a dragon.
This was really excellent. I really enjoyed the "Fragments of a Lost Journal" approach to the update. Kudos to the writer (you or your player). Other notes:
1. It's neat to see the backstory of your campaign world begin to become more important to the players. The Inexorable Kings and the Sundering seem like they will only increase in importance.
2. Whoever played your Cleric is made of sterner stuff than I. If I ever travel to an otherworld where a beautiful immortal princess wants to get all next-generation-generating with me, I don't know that I could resist her charms. I have great INT and CHA, but the WIS not so much...
Thanks Alex!
It was one of my players who wrote it (Kaenan-Tal/Klangor). He did a great job I think!
Yeah, he does play the chaste priest really well. And yeah, he did a better job than I would have…
