So are living expenses more of a suggestion like in other Pen and Paper games I’ve seen or are they more of a requirement? IE: Can you choose to spend 400 a month and live above your level if you want or just spend 60 a month and spend more frugally? If it is a hard rule whats to be lost if the person doesn’t spend the listed amount? What if a king is stuck as a prisoner for a month and can’t spend 80,000 gold?
Point is that’s what you need to spend in order to be taken seriously as a person of that social class.
