Attention to Details and methodical searching

Does a dwarf craft priest attention to detail impact methodical searching (+15 instead of +18)?

No, because a Craftpriest is not proficient in Searching and AtD only adds to “proficiency throws for any proficiencies they learn.” Adventuring proficiency permits the Craftpriest to attempt methodical Searching, but does not make him proficient in it.

By comparison, a Dwarven Delver is proficient in Searching and thus would add Attention to Detail to his Searching throw (methodical or hasty).

I think that’s actually a little mistaken. Sensitivity to Rock and Stone puts dwarves at 14+ for their starting searching throw if they’re using adventuring, or +4 if they’re separately proficient. This overrides AtD, as we can see from the example of Delver, who starts at 14+. Alertness and Trapfinding may further modify this.

Sensitivity to Rock and Stone already applies to those throws, yes, but while it provides +4 to Searching if separately proficient, it only provides +2 to Listening in that case. Alertness and Trapfinding would add a further +2 as normal. StR&S just doesn’t stack with AtD (personally I would let a class with +3 or better AtD add +3 to Listening if separately proficient). StR&S adds regardless of proficiency.
