Magic Type "Breakout" Factors?

One of the things on it that I’m not quite sure where it comes from is the breakout factors.

Are they from anywhere or have they been calculated by the mysterious Arman?

The specifics of that look to have been calculated by Arman. He reverse-engineered my judgment calls into math, the way I reverse engineered Gygax's judgment calls into math.
