Heroic Fantasy handbook states that fear, charm, enslave are inherently corrupting. Especially power to enslave sapient creatures for extended periods of time is viewed as bad.
But what about class features and proficiencies? E.g. irresistible voice, alluring beauty, provoke the passions, mystic aura? All of them state that target act as if charmed, and most of them without any maximum duration.
For example if you are trying to impress someone with Mystic Aura, and you charm them instead, is that supposed to be a chaotic and corrupting act?
