So, I’m in the market for a new super hero RPG. Ascendant is coming recommended from some people I am inclined to trust the recommendations of enough to at least look into. I’ve been loaned a copy of the book, I’m going through it and if it holds up, I will be buying myself copy’s in physical dead tree paper and PDF format.
I come with a tangentally related question. I am currently phasing out and replacing Mutants and Masterminds 3rd edition. When I was first learning that system it was and to a degree still is supported by a thing called Hero Lab.
Hero Lab is not what it once was so Its a harder recommend than it was when I first bought into it. However, I did find having a hero building software an invaluable asset.
I wanted to ask, are there any similar programs out there for Ascendant, or any plans to get any similar programs out there in the nearish future?

Hi! There are not yet any programs like Hero Lab for Ascendant. It’s something that’s on our list of action items but the complexity of the development will make it a challenge. Thanks for checking out Ascendant. I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you. I do look forward to you getting such a program. I understand it would take some doing with programming, but I feel it would be a boon.
If I could make a suggestion? Make it open source when you do. That way people that use things other than windows for there daily drivers like Linux operating systems can have an easier time making use of it.
Or perhaps make it a browser based rather than something you download. Pay a 1 time fee and get to create an account. After all, flash games, online dice rollers and voice chat clients can all do it browser based. No reason you guys should be unable to.
As long as it does not have a repeated subscription model, that will be great.
Also, I was actually trying to post a new topic to get help moving some characters over form 3rd edition mutants and masterminds too Ascendant. For some reason no matter what I do though it keeps telling me “Error 500” and then not posting the topic.
Do youo know how I can get that fixed and be able to post a new thread?
