Which level are the mercenaries mentioned in the Equipment chapter? Level 0 or Level 1? And, if they are Level 0, where in the ACKS book can I find their stats?
Also, how can I hire higher-level mercenaries, such as sergeants, captains and so forth?
I believe they are level 0 men who happen to be willing to fight, though I can’t find it just now. I have them attack and save as L0 men with no mods from ability scores, 1d4 HP, and AC according to armor. And I would have captains be levelled fighters hired as henchmen, probably.
There’s a table in Domains at War, but I think that jedavis has the right idea if you don’t have it.
