I think it would be good to start and then have newcomers join up with the gang on the march and otherwise start game. Better to deal with shortcomings in game then planning too much and delaying the game.

I was unprepared for the swift rise and fall of my previous attempt, and concerned about the effects of late arrivals (and their entourages). After considering all sorts of possibilities, I’ve basically decided that I need to be able to handle late arrivals, so I may as well gain experience doing so.
