I am hosting an event at Gen Con this year for ACKS.  I need 10-12 characters for players to choose from and it is turning into something time-consuming.  Who would like to help create 8th level (actually 130,000XP) characters for me?

  Ideally, I would like one of each class if possible but here are the ones I need or want for sure:

  • Paladin
  • Priestess
  • Cleric
  • Thrassian Gladiator
  • Bard
  • Fighter
  • Thief
  • Nobiran Wonderworker
  • Zaharan Ruingaurd
  • Mystic
  • Mage
  • Dwarven Machinist
  • Dwarven Fury
  • Elven Ranger

.  8th level, I'll load them up with magic items but you can make suggestions.  Set stats as follows, they are a little beefy, but I want new players to get a feel for everything:

  • Options 1: 18, 17, 15, 14, 12, 10 (most classes)
  • Options 2: 17, 16, 16, 15, 14, 11 (Mostly for classes like the mystic that has 4 prime stats)

Also, if you are attending this event, or the unofficial playtest the night before on Wednesday, you can also bring your own character.

  • Let's keep henchmen out unless you need them for flavor or like the machinist.
  • Pick a standard template and fill in items, and then add to it as desired.
  • Please provide a character name, be tasteful.
  • Please go to the home page and use the "Interactive ACK Character Sheet by Rocco aka BAMF.pdf," so everything is consistent.
  • Please list what class you are making so anyone else interested in helping doesn't also make the same class.

I'll make a bard for you. Are you planning on giving the characters the Conqueror amount of starting gold for advanced characters or is there a set amount of gold we should have in mind when giving suggestions for items/assets/etc?

I'm happy to make a Zaharan Ruinguard. 

I was looking for rules on starting gold for higher level characters and I couldn't find it...what page is that on?  Yes, you can use that, but I'll provide the characters with magic items, but you can make suggestions.

I'll make a thief. Are you using thief equipment in HFH? Or just core rules? Either way is fine, let me know.

Core Rules only please.  I'm doing a test run with some friends first week of July, so if you feel like tackling more than one character that would be helpful.  I need 8 characters for sure, but I wanted as many as possible to give the players a chance to use what they prefer.  Of course, I wanted the game specific ones for sure as they are unique. 

FYI, I need any characters people are making by end of this weekend.  I am running a test with friends next weekend and I want time to see what people come up with and to add in magic items and stuff.
