Character Creation

I think I’m going to take Set #2 and go cleric.

I shall start rolling now. Or technically have the adorable cats that run the internet roll.

Yeah, I’m debating and will probably make a final decision based on what other people are playing.

Right now, the front-runners are paladin or elven spellsword. (Are you sure no ruinguard? :P) As you pointed out, anything is really an option (except classes with Dex as a prime requisite; 8 Dex means no qualification, which sadly rules out dwarven machinist.)

edit: As long as I’m posting, I’ll mention, I’ll take characters 1, 3, and 4 for my stable; characters 2 and 5 are cast into the Pit of Judgement.

Here are my characters!

Okay, that’s the first. And it sucks. Good thing you have 5 chances! Go back, edit your post, and copy/paste the same thing into the “Roll” box (i.e. 3d6;3d6;3d6;3d6;3d6;3d6;3d6;), then save. You’ll get a new set of rolls. Then do the same thing three more times, for a total of 5 sets of rolls.

It also helps if you throw a label of some kind in the Notes box each time, so you don’t end up with 35 d6 rolls with no line breaks or separation of any kind.

What he said. The other option is to just post four more times, like Dave R did.

BLADEDANCER
I rolled 3d6, the result is 4, 4, 5 = 13 STR.
I rolled 3d6, the result is 5, 2, 2 = 9 INT.
I rolled 3d6, the result is 6, 6, 6 = 18 WIS.
I rolled 3d6, the result is 6, 6, 6 = 18 DEX.
I rolled 3d6, the result is 4, 4, 1 = 9 CON.
I rolled 3d6, the result is 5, 2, 4 = 11 CHA.
I rolled 3d6, the result is 5, 3, 4 = 12 GP.

Proficiencies: Weapon Finesse, Military Strategy
Equipment: Holy symbol (9-pointed star of Ianna), glaive, pair of gracefully curved swords, polished leather armor, bladedancer’s head dress (10gp value), golden silk cloak, white chiton, high boots, backpack, 1 week’s iron rations, 3gp

AC: 6
Init: +4 (+3 w/ glaive)
Attacks:
Glaive 7+, 1d10+1
2 swords 6+, 1d6+1

AWE YAAAAAHHHH

And like that, I was suddenly free from the burden of having the highest stats.

Technically you have 92 ability score points to my 90.

Seeing as it’s his company’s website, he has clearly found a way to cheat.

Out of curiosity, where do you carry your glaive when wielding two swords?

I stand corrected!

(Although I think double nat 18’s counts as highest anyway, unless someone rolls 3 18’s :P)

So… So far we have a Bladedancer (I probably won’t be restricting them to women, but I’m still sorting Gods out; I’ll get back to you), a slow-witted Fighter who has a way with the ladies… what else?

Typically I’d drop it then pick it up later.

In deference to my own game design, my bladedancer will assuredly be a female.

I am actually considering Venturer; in part just because with 8 people, there’s room for non-combat specialists in the party, but mostly because they’re awesome.

(edit; I note that I’m still also considering paladin and elven spellsword, venturer just got added to the list of potentials.)

I think that’s the opposite of narrowing it down…

How would you feel about an 18 Charisma paladin with both the Mystic Aura and Intimidation proficiencies?

(2d6+7 and charmed on 12+ is a pretty degenerate reaction roll.)

(PS - I’m currently making the character, he’s a paladin, he does have 18 Cha and Mystic Aura but not Intimidation. At least not currently.)

ok, here i go
